Gustav Trois (1913 - 2002) was an american artist who taught several generations of students at his Montgomery County studio and through the Montgomery County school system's adult education program, died of a lung ailment April 3 at his home in Silver Spring. Mr. Trois created watercolors, etchings and sketches. His work often depicted Washington history but also included ideas gathered during his frequent travels to Europe.
Some of his work joined the permanent collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian Institution and the private collections of J. Edgar Hoover, Ethel Barrymore and Jack Benny.
